Art City Days 2026: The Insider’s Guide to Springville’s Biggest Week

by Lori Collins

The Core Schedule (Quick Reference)

  • Balloon Fest: June 11–13 (6:30 AM at Art City Elementary).

    The
Balloon Fest launches occur early on Friday and Saturday, June 12–13, starting around 6:30 AM at Art City Elementary (121 N 900 E). It’s a spectacular sight to see about 15 colorful balloons inflate and lift off, but for a different technical experience, don't miss the Balloon Glow on Friday night at the Clyde Recreation Center. Seeing the balloons tethered and firing their burners in the dark provides a unique look at the thermal mechanics—and the sheer scale—of these aircraft up close.

If you’re heading to the morning launch, arrive by 6:15 AM. Watching the inflation process is the best part—you get a front-row seat to the combustion and airflow dynamics that make flight possible. Plus, it’s much easier to find parking near Art City Elementary before the crowds arrive at 7:00.

  • Children’s Parade: Friday, June 12 at 9:30 AM (starts at the old Grant School).

The Children's Parade kicks off on Friday, June 12, at 9:30 AM, where kids of elementary age and younger line up at the historic old Grant School to show off their decorated bikes, wagons, and scooters. It’s a classic "small-town" experience as they parade around the block, finishing with free snow cones for all the participants. After the parade, it’s just a short walk over to the Springville Museum of Art for the Children’s Art Festival, making it the perfect morning for families to explore the heart of the community.

  • Children's Art Festival: Friday, June 12 (10 AM – 2 PM at the Museum of Art).

The Children's Art Festival at the Springville Museum of Art is a highlight for families, transforming the museum grounds into a vibrant hub of creativity on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This free event features over 15 hands-on art-making booths, storytelling, and temporary tattoos, offering a perfect follow-up to the morning Children's Parade. It’s a wonderful way to experience Utah’s oldest cultural institution while the front lawn is filled with young artists bringing the "Art City" spirit to life.

  • Grand Parade: Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 AM (Route: Buckley Ave & 400 S, then North on Main St).

The Grand Parade is the crown jewel of Art City Days, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This highly-anticipated event features over 100 entries, including elaborate floats, marching bands, and antique vehicles that perfectly showcase the community's creative spirit. To catch the action, look for announcers stationed at the Springville Museum of Art and City Hall, where they provide live commentary on each entry as it passes.

    The Parade Route:

The parade officially begins at the intersection of Buckley Avenue and 400 South. It travels West on 400 South until it hits Main Street, where the entire procession turns North. The route continues through the heart of downtown, eventually concluding at Main Street and 200 North.

The Parade Logistics: "If you’re watching the Grand Parade on Main Street, the best shade is on the East side of the street near the 100 South block. Get there by 8:30 AM to secure a spot."

  • Family Concert & Fireworks: Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 PM (Arts Park, 700 S 1300 E).

    • The Fireworks Vantage Point: "The McWane Ductile Amphitheater is the official spot, but if you want to avoid the post-show traffic bottleneck on 1300 East, try viewing from the parks further west.
